Memory Match Guide: Find Every Pair

Memory Match is a 16-card puzzle with eight pairs of symbols. Select two face-down cards. Matching cards stay open; unmatched cards turn over again after a short pause.

A simple way to begin

  1. Reveal two cards and notice both their symbols and their positions.
  2. If they differ, keep their positions in mind for a later turn.
  3. When you reveal a symbol you have already seen, try its matching position.
  4. Continue until all eight pairs are open.

Use a repeatable scan

Working across rows can make positions easier to describe to yourself. For example, “star in the top-left corner” is often easier to remember than “the card I clicked earlier”. Choose a method that feels comfortable.

What counts as a move?

A move is one completed selection of two cards. The counter increases after the second card is selected. The game finishes once every pair is matched.

Try again

New Board shuffles all the cards and clears the move counter. An unfamiliar layout is a chance to practise the same method rather than memorise one board.
